MBA Solvent

MBA (3-Methoxybutyl Acetate), an ester derivative, is applicable in organic synthesis. It serves as a solvent for nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, etc., and can be mixed with thinners and spray solvents. As a high-boiling solvent in polyurethane resin systems (including automotive refinish paints) and UV-curable/non-toxic toy paints, as well as screen inks, it enhances leveling and gloss. It acts as a solvent/thinner (fast volatilization, strong solvency) for automotive refinish polyurethane coatings, an evaporation rate adjuster (retardant) for propylene glycol methyl ether acetate (alternative to CA), and a solvent for brighteners and their thinners.
