EA Monomer
Ethyl Acrylate

Description
Ethyl Acrylate (EA) is a clear, colorless liquid with a strong, pungent odor. The molecule contains a polymerizable vinyl group at one end and a reactive ester group at the other. It is slightly soluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents, and has relatively low volatility. Its vapor is denser than air.
Ethyl Acrylate readily copolymerizes with a wide range of monomers, including amides, esters, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, styrene, and (meth)acrylic acid. Incorporation of the ester functionality imparts durability, flexibility, elasticity, adhesion, and cohesive strength to the resulting polymers.
