In the afternoon, Academician Peng Xiaojun\u200b (Professor, Dean of DUT Shenzhen Research Institute, and Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) led a delegation of experts including Professor Zhang Wenzhen\u200b (Party Secretary of DUT&#8217;s School of Chemical Engineering) to PREC&#8217;s Shenzhen headquarters for in-depth discussions. Mr. Wu Xiaoqiang, Chairman of PREC, and Ms. Yu Dong&#8217;e, General Manager of PREC, received the delegation in full and held internal meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-greenshift-blocks-image gspb_image gspb_image-id-gsbp-c397ebd\" id=\"gspb_image-id-gsbp-c397ebd\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.prechems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/web-1.jpg\" data-src=\"\" alt=\"web 1\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1300\"\/><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"gspb_heading-id-gsbp-aef0608\" class=\"gspb_heading gspb_heading-id-gsbp-aef0608\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Ties as the Foundation<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both Mr. Wu Xiaoqiang and Ms. Yu Dong&#8217;e graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering of DUT. Mr. Wu was mentored by Academician Peng Xiaojun, and the two share a strong mentor-student bond. This connection has extended beyond the university to the industrial sector. Academician Peng attended the groundbreaking ceremony for PREC&#8217;s Huaibei production base project, which has an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes each of EEP\/MMP functional solvents and EA\/MA monomers. As a distinguished guest, he witnessed the launch of this benchmark fine chemical project, which has a total investment exceeding CNY 200 million (US$30 million). The trust built between mentor and student during their time on campus has evolved into a collaborative effort in industrial development today, serving as a unique cornerstone for their cooperation in industry, academia, and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"gspb_heading-id-gsbp-7f2a4f2\" class=\"gspb_heading gspb_heading-id-gsbp-7f2a4f2\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Joint Breakthroughs on Shared Priorities<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The closed-door seminar held in the afternoon was direct and focused, as both sides conducted an in-depth analysis of the industrial commercialization of the key cathode solvent project for lithium-ion batteries. The planned facility, with a capacity of 100,000 tonnes, is supported by the Shenzhen Major Science and Technology Special Project and has successfully passed pilot-scale testing at the Huaibei base.<br>Mr. Wu and Academician Peng&#8217;s team concentrated on strategies to further strengthen its internationally leading technical advantage through process optimization, cost control, and green smart manufacturing. Both parties agree that this achievement, which breaks the overseas monopoly, not only demonstrates PREC&#8217;s technical prowess but also serves as a vital pivot for advancing the green development of the lithium-ion battery industry.<br>The seminar outlined the directions for follow-up resource allocation and technical support to ensure the project can quickly transition from concept to tangible new productive forces, thereby transforming industry-academia-research outcomes into a solid foundation for the global supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"gspb_heading-id-gsbp-942519f\" class=\"gspb_heading gspb_heading-id-gsbp-942519f\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Global Footprint Strategy<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a core member of SMA, PREC previously showcased its offerings at the American Coatings Show 2026 (ACS 2026) alongside the alliance. This experience provided valuable insights into the stringent environmental protection and application standards of the North American market. PREC has recognized that China&#8217;s fine chemical industry needs to transition from a &#8220;pure product supply&#8221; model to one that emphasizes &#8220;technology plus service.&#8221;<br>Mr. Wu pointed out that establishing deep collaborations with top-tier universities and thoroughly understanding the &#8220;structure-property relationship,&#8221; as well as green and intelligent processes proposed by Academician Peng, is essential for PREC to build irreplaceable, competitive advantages in the global supply chain. Engaging with this expert team from its Alma mater represents a critical step for PREC to strengthen its technological foundation and support its global expansion.<br>From the &#8220;joint witness&#8221; of the groundbreaking ceremony in Huaibei to the &#8220;joint breakthroughs&#8221; at PREC&#8217;s Shenzhen headquarters, the company views this visit from the delegation led by the academician as a significant milestone for long-term cooperation.
